With the opening of the Interventional Radiology (IR) and Imaging Department at its freestanding cancer center, Summit Medical Group is offering advanced IR procedures, including Ultrasound-Guided biopsy and CT-Guided biopsy – procedures that are typically exclusive to a hospital setting – in an outpatient, coordinated-care environment.
The newly minted Imaging Department features two highly advanced outpatient IR suites. A team of board-certified interventional radiologists, led by Dr. Waseem Bhatti, Medical Director of Imaging at Summit Medical Group MD Anderson Cancer Center, is skilled in a wide range of procedures, including:
