Before joining Summit Medical Group, Tiffany K. Ruth, MD, was an attending physician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway and an attending physician for Capital Health System in Trenton, New Jersey. Dr. Ruth has been a clinical instructor of emergency medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. She was previously an attending physician at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she also supervised emergency medicine residents. Dr. Ruth also has supervised emergency medicine residents at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark. She has been Assistant Director of the Irvington General Medical Center Emergency Department and Raritan Bay Medical Center Emergency Department. She is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Ruth's interest in science, particularly the human body and organ systems, inspired her to study medicine. She notes, "I enjoy establishing a good rapport with my patients and helping them with their medical problems. I want them to leave with a smile, knowing I have given them the best care possible."
When Dr. Ruth is not working with her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, seeing movies, and attending football and track and field events. She is an assistant track and field and hurdle coach for young athletes.
