Personal Notes:

Kathleen Pete, LPC is a member of Summit Medical Group's Behavioral Health and Cognitive Therapy Center team. Ms. Pete has worked in the field of mental health for over 16 years in various capacities. She has significant experience working in the clinical outpatient, clinical case management, and school-based settings. Ms. Pete has experience working with youth and families who have suffered a wide range of concerns, including depression, grief and loss, divorce, anxiety, ADHD, peer relationship difficulties, school-related problems, work-related challenges, parent-child relationship issues, and poor self-esteem. Her therapeutic approach is to explore current concerns and then establish new ways of responding to those issues in order to achieve an effective resolution. “I have always enjoyed seeing the personal growth via decision making and self-esteem as one becomes more confident in their abilities,” says Ms. Pete.  “When one is able to realize their strengths and has gained a sense of mastery in an area of their life, it is incredibly rewarding to be part of that process.”
