David J. Graber, MD, specializes in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Graber's expertise includes care for elderly patients who are transitioning from the hospital to rehabilitation centers and their homes. He is among the first physicians in the United States to become a certified specialist in geriatric medicine.
Dr. Graber is a founding partner of New Jersey Physicians, with whom he has practiced since 1998. In addition to his position with New Jersey Physicians at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Graber is Medical Director of Patient Care Home Care Services. He is Former Medical Director of Hamilton Plaza Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Former Medical Director of Tri-Hospital Home Care Service, Former Medical Director of Fair Lawn Manor Nursing, and Former Director of Gastroenterology at General Hospital Center and St. Mary's Hospital.
Dr. Graber says, "My patients range in age from 18 to 105 years. I have special interest in caring for frail, homebound elderly patients. I still make house call when necessary." He adds, "I particularly enjoy working with families. I advocate home care services that allow frail patients to stay at home."
Dr. Graber is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Geriatric Society.
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Graber enjoys spending time with his family, including his children and grandchildren.
