Courtney Fairbanks, LSW is a member of Summit Medical Group's Social Work Care Management team. Ms. Fairbanks has extensive experience in addressing the clinical needs of vulnerable populations, moving them from acute crisis to independence and stability. She has also worked for community-based, non-profit organizations, which has allowed her to gain expertise in the administrative, organizational, and budgetary areas of social service agencies.
Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Ms. Fairbanks worked as Senior Director of Housing at The Gateway Family YMCA, the largest homeless shelter in Union County. While there, she led a team in providing crisis and case management, linkage and referral services. Previously, Ms. Fairbanks managed case managers providing services to individuals with chronic and severe mental health issues. She also worked as Senior Wish Manager for Make-A-Wish New Jersey in Monroe and served as an in-home family therapist for adolescents in the Florida juvenile justice system.
Ms. Fairbanks has special interest in identifying the needs, goals, and strengths of her patients and their families, as well as linking them to services that empower them towards a higher quality of life and connection with the community.
When Ms. Fairbanks is not working with patients, she enjoys various outdoor activities including hiking, camping, and running the occasional half marathon.
