Adnan Danish, MD is a member of Summit Medical Group's Radiation Oncology team. Dr. Danish is experienced in treating all types of oncology patients and has special interest in central nervous system, lung, head and neck, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal cancers. He has vast experience in the use of all forms of radiation, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiation therapy and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR).

He enjoys working in a highly technical, ever-evolving field where new and improved treatment is always on the horizon. Dr. Danish stays up-to-date on the latest treatment options and cutting-edge technology. “It’s my job to be aware of advancements and utilize them to treat my patients, giving them the best chance to beat their disease. Improved quality of life or long term, disease-free survivorship is the ultimate goal,” he says.

Dr. Danish’s practice philosophy is to treat his patients like they are his own family. He strives to provide quality, individualized, multidisciplinary, accessible, evidence-based care and hopes to make a significant and positive impact on his patients’ lives. “To me, there is no greater calling than helping people to live and be well.”

Dr. Danish has had the unique experience of being both a patient and caregiver in the field of oncology. As a high school senior, both he and his father were diagnosed with cancer and received their treatments together. During that time, he witnessed the true workings of modern medicine and realized the critical role a caregiver plays in not only providing treatment, but compassion and empathy as well. This experience, along with his avid interest in the sciences, inspired him to pursue a degree in molecular biology and biochemistry, psychology, and ultimately led him to his medical studies.

During his residency, he served as chief resident and received awards for excellence in research and clinical care.  Post residency, he joined Hackensack Meridian Health, where he practiced for over ten years. He was the Medical Director of the CyberKnife program, and eventually became System Wide Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for Legacy Meridian Health. While there, he actively participated in clinical research, performed community outreach, served on various clinical and quality assurance committees, and received awards for excellence in clinical care. He maintains membership in national organizations such as American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and The Radiosurgery Society.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Danish enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors.
