Warren Finkelstein, MD, MACG, AGAF, FACP, specializes in all gastroenterological disorders. Dr. Finkelstein has expertise in diagnosing and treating Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Dr. Finkelstein has practiced with the Gastroenterology Group of New Jersey for 37 years. In addition to his position with Summit Medical Group, he is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He is Former Chief of Gastroenterology at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.
Dr. Finkelstein's primary clinical, teaching, and clinical research has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He has delivered local, regional, national, and international invited presentations on inflammatory bowel disease, many of which were at American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) annual meetings.
Dr. Finkelstein was a member of the editorial board for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He has held leadership positions with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), including National Field Medical Advisory Chairman, Northeast Regional Medical Chairman, and National Trustee.
Dr. Finkelstein served as Governor of New Jersey for the American College of Gastroenterology. He also has been a member of the American College of Gastroenterology Practice Management Committee, Membership Committee, and Nominating Committee. He was elected Regional Councilor of the American College of Gastroenterology Northeast Region. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and American College of Physicians.
Dr. Finkelstein earned the Master of the American College of Gastroenterology title in October 2010. He is a recipient of the American College of Gastroenterology Freshman and Senior Governor Awards and Crohn's and Colitis Foudation of America Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Finkelstin is featured in New York Magazine, Inside Jersey, and Castle Connolly "Best Doctors" listings.

When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Finkelstein enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children.
